Some things to bake

HOMEMADE GRANOLA!  The best, easy, no fail.

Two options Here is option #1

Mix Dry ingredients
4 cups  All Bran cereal
2 cups Flax seed mill
24 cups or two containers rolled oats
4 cups Sunflower seeds, roasted salted
4 cups Pepita seed/pumpkin seeds, raw
3 cups slivered Almonds
Mix wet ingredients
2 cups olive oil
2 cups agave
2-3 tsp vanilla or almond extract

This is a large batch and can easily be cut in half.  Over set to 325 and bake 30 min stir at 15 min.  Spread onto large cookie sheets,  Large batch at least 2 sheets maybe 3.  Cook each separately.  I do a large batch so I can be done with it and it last longer.  SO GOOD and less sugar, Yeah!   I love the added seeds.

Options #2  -No seeds
8 cups of dry rolled oats, not instant.
1 cup whole wheat
1 cup grape nuts cereal
1 cup All bran cereal
1 tsp salt
Mix all together and set aside

Wet ingredients!

1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup canola oil
3 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses, note* can reduce amount of molasses in exchange for honey or corn syrup
Mix all together

Mix both wet and dry ingredients( may need to get you hands involved) and spread on to cookie sheet.  Bake 275 degrees for 1 hour.  stir every 20 minutes.  Let cool and the add additional ingredients if you so desire.  I actually 4x the batch I made so I could have a stock up.

Optional additions.   Cinnamon, nuts, raisins, crasins, coconut......Enjoy

Please feel free to leave feedback if you enjoy it as well.

Banana Muffins!

1/2 cup butter ( Yes, butter)
1 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 c Mashed Bananas
1 1/2 C whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Flax seed
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp B. Soda
1 tsp vanilla
3 Tbsp Milk (you can use any kind you want)
Add nuts to taste-optional

Bake 325 degrees for 1 hr 15 min-for loaves, 20-30 min for muffins

So this is just one way to enjoy something yummy by also getting some fiber in with it. This will have less of a negative affect on your body. Sometimes we want something not so healthy, this is your way to have the best of both worlds. Just decide before you start that you won't eat more than two in one sitting. Enjoy!
